Property Summary

***Vendor's comments:*** "When I initially looked around this house, I knew it would be the perfect first home. Walking through the front door into a corridor, instead of the living room, was the first sign. The unique upstairs layout and bathroom were second.

The location is great. You’re near a Co-op and a few minutes walk from a Lidl. You are a couple of minutes' walk from Selhurst station, which gets you into Victoria and London Bridge. It’s also a 15-minute walk into East Croydon, where you can get faster trains into central London and quick trains to Gatwick. Norwood Junction is a short bus ride away, which has the Overground."

Since then, decorating the house has been an enjoyable hobby. Sorting the garden was a priority, and it’s been the perfect location for entertaining and BBQs ever since. A few years ago, I updated the tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, which has made a huge difference in both rooms.

The main bedroom is a good size and gets excellent natural light when it’s sunny. The second bedroom has been perfect for friends and family to stay in. I’ve also had lodgers rent the room, which has worked well. I’ve used the area outside the bathroom as a dressing room but since lockdown, it’s become an office. This has been ideal, as the desk doesn’t encroach on my living space.

The whole area has seen an increase in good restaurants over the years. In East Croydon, you have Boxpark, where I’ve spent many days and nights. But I also love The Store and Mr. Fox. Norwood Junction now has a cheese shop and a craft beer shop, as well as some new cafes and bars. It really is a good area to live.

It’s now time for my next step, but I will always have fond memories of my first home. I really hope the next owners are as happy here as I have been."
