***Vendor's comments:*** "We purchased this property in March 2009 and so have lived here for more than 11 years now. It has been an excellent home for me, my wife and our three children. We love the house with its period features and large spacious rooms and have been carefully refurbishing it over the time we have been here, making it our home. The only room we haven’t refurbished, other than decorating, is the kitchen which would be have been our next project if we were staying. Despite this, we love the kitchen space with its original bay window. Although we have a separate dining room, the kitchen is large enough for a table and chairs, which we use on a daily basis and as such it is the hub of our home.

We installed a new Worcester Bosch boiler with a 10 year warranty in January 2020 along with Hive heating controls. Our latest project, completed July this year, was the upstairs bathroom which we totally refurbished with new porcelain floor tiles, metro wall tiles and a contemporary suite.

Our garden, although modest, is a real sun trap and has a number mature shrubs and a beautiful silver birch tree which we planted when we moved in, providing cover and privacy. Although our home is a terraced house it is deceivingly large and spacious with access to the rear garden via an alley way. This rear access is regularly used, certainly by us, to remove garden waste and transport bicycles to the garden shed.

Temple Road is less than a 5 minute walk to South Croydon train station which runs fast services to London Bridge and London Victoria (journey time 20 minutes) as well as City Thameslink (journey time 28 minutes) and services to the south coast including Gatwick airport. East Croydon train station is only a 15 minute walk away and various bus services are available within a few minutes’ walk.

We have off street parking for one car and a permit can easily be obtained for parking in the road. We have two cars in the family and this works out very well for us.

South Croydon’s restaurant quarter is only a few minutes’ walk away providing a good selection of restaurants and bars. Despite the central location, Temple Road is a quiet, residential road.

We will miss living here and the friendly neighbourhood. In fact, the house is perfect for us and we are reluctant to move. However, we are now looking for a property with a larger garden and garage."
