For us it was love at first sight, even just from the pictures we knew it was the place for us. The size, the light, how quiet it is and yet so close to everything we need, it just made sense and we have been incredibly happy here for the last 6 years. My now husband even proposed on the day we moved in so it is full of great memories!

Since then our careers have blossomed as has our collection of books and we now feel it is the right time to find a house where we can build more memories and provide us with the space for our families to stay when they visit London.

During lockdown we have been able to completely refurbish the property. New kitchen, bathroom, flooring, lighting, as well as new wiring and fuse box, all professionally done I hasten to add. The garden has also undergone some changes, we have added decking, paved the main area and put in raised beds which are fantastic for growing vegetables.

Access to transport could not be easier. We are 5 minutes walk to Gipsy Hill Rail station where the trains take you into Victoria in 25 minutes and 20 minutes to London Bridge. We are extremely lucky to also only be a few extra minutes walk to Crystal Palace station where you can also use the London Overground. The bus routes are fantastic and provide quick and easy access to Brixton, Croydon and nearby Beckenham.

We will miss our lovely home and our neighbours and we hope to be able to stay local to Crystal Palace as we have become regulars at Joanna’s and are huge fans of the fantastic and varied restaurants and shops less than a minute walk from the flat.
