Property Summary

***Vendor's comments*** "When my sister and I were looking for a property to buy together, we opted for a house over a flat because the house would give us more freedom, unrestricted by lease lengths and service charges, with the addition of a sizeable private outside space for us to enjoy.

***Vendor's comments*** "When my sister and I were looking for a property to buy together, we opted for a house over a flat because the house would give us more freedom, unrestricted by lease lengths and service charges, with the addition of a sizeable private outside space for us to enjoy.

Outside space is a premium in London and it has been invaluable during the government-imposed lockdowns and restrictions. Croydon was the area of choice because of its’ easy access to London, for work, and the south coast, for family. When the house was acquired, it was a little tired and needed some love. We’ve spent the last couple of years making some improvements, which includes a new floor throughout the ground floor, installation of a ground floor w/c and new kitchen, and the opening up of the kitchen and dining room space. Looking outside, when we bought the property, the garden was poorly utilised. We put up a new fence, put down new patio paving, relayed turf and installed a shed for some valuable outdoor storage. With regard to the upstairs, we renovated the bathroom and installed some boarding in the attic to enhance the storage options.

Since buying the property I met my girlfriend and we’re looking to buy a property together outside of London. During our time in this property, we have enjoyed having the market, supermarkets, high street, and the gym on our doorstep. There are several excellent food and drink options, including Bagatti's for some Italian, The Store or Mr Fox for Sunday Lunch and if you can’t decide what to eat, you can pop to the Box Park for a bit of everything!

Commuting to work could not be easier, it only takes 15 minutes to get to either London Bridge or London Victoria. The trains are so frequent, even if you do miss one you only have to wait five minutes for the next one to arrive. Furthermore, West Croydon provides easy access to lots of other areas, such as Crystal Palace and Balham. East Croydon is also really great for international travel, we were able to get from our front door to Bordeaux in less than three hours, which includes security checks! On our doorstep, there are several lovely parks, including Wandle, Duppas Hill and Beddington. When the sun is out and you feel like a change of scenery, you can also be in Brighton in around one hour.

We’ve had a great time living here, whoever decides to make this house their home will have a brilliant time living here too.
