Before this property we kept seeing two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. The main attraction for us when buying was the three good sized double bedrooms. We knew these bedrooms would allow our children to grow and enjoy; without feeling as though one child had to compromise with the standard “box room.” 


The large living space on the ground has allowed us to enjoy the space whilst hosting family and friends over all times of the year, from Christmas dinners, to summer BBQs to birthday celebrations. We also installed the sun room to add even more light to the property and the utility room has given us more convenient space for appliances and storage. The Garden, for us, has been a blessing for the children to play and to host guests. We are not keen gardeners but have maintained the space so that it is ready for a buyer to do the same or alter it to their tastes and hobbies.


The drive at the front has proven to be invaluable. Over the years with children and shopping (or just a long day at work) it is a great feeling to have a guaranteed parking space on your door step.


The area has been what we expected and more. It is a tree lined and quiet street where the neighbours have been lovely. You are within walking distance to a variety of shops on Shirley Road which will suit all your needs. For commuting via public transport there are good bus services close by and Shirley Road can allow you to head in any direction via car with ease. Our children went to some very good schools in the area and were able to travel with ease independently to them too.


We have maintained the home over the years and we did install a new bathroom and W/C at the beginning of 2019. The loft is boarded and there are stairs to access it. For years we have toyed with the idea of further extending but with the children moving out there was no need for us to do so.


For us, the time has come to sell and start a new chapter in our lives. The children have flown the nest so now we want to move somewhere more amenable to us. We are going to miss the home and the area but the change is needed for us. We would love to see this home go to somebody who will cherish this home in the way we have."
