Property Summary

***Vendor's comments:*** "We were previously living in a one bed flat in Herne Hill and wanted something bigger. We initially looked around that area but found we couldn't get much for our money and all the places we saw, had such little storage place. We extended our search to Croydon and immediately fell in love with the flat.

We'll really miss the proximity to everything and how easy it is to get around - getting into London and going out for drinks/ dinner locally. If you have a car there are also so many places to explore in the surrounding areas too. It's also nice being so close to Brighton, as well as Gatwick Airport for a holiday!"

***Vendor's comments:*** "We were previously living in a one bed flat in Herne Hill and wanted something bigger. We initially looked around that area but found we couldn't get much for our money and all the places we saw, had such little storage place. We extended our search to Croydon and immediately fell in love with the flat. The bedrooms were great sizes, all rooms (and hallways) had built in cupboards and it felt spacious and bright. The additional bonus was the third bedroom, which we initially used as a dining room and we now use as an office space. We also found it was really quiet but also near lots of shops and restaurants. On top of that it had the communal outdoor space and was only three minutes walk from South Croydon station.

To be honest, we have not done much work to the property apart from adding in some shelves in one of the rooms and repainting the hallway and kitchen. The previous owners did such a great job and we loved all the finishes and haven't felt the need to make any changes.

In the evenings you can usually enjoy a beautiful sunset from the window in the living room and in the mornings we always like to watch the squirrels chasing each other in the trees.

We have a one-year-old and we've made great use of the communal outdoor space, which he loves. On top of that there are a couple of parks nearby (Park Hill and Lloyd Park), which both have playgrounds and are beautiful. Lloyd Park also has a really nice cafe, which we like to go on Sundays. Quite a few of the local churches offer playgroups and there are loads of other activities you can do in the area with children.

We have been living at the property for just over 6 years and we have had a great time living here. Now that our son is getting older we would like to move closer to family.

Having the small Tesco and a Post Office around the corner is so handy. It's also within walking distance to the local GP surgery and dentist. We have loved being near some nice coffee shops (Bob's Your Uncle and Bongiourno), as well as some really nice restaurants and bars such as Bagattis, the Store and Machan).

It's also only a 20-minute walk into East Croydon High street where you have all the High Street shops. It is a three minute walk to South Croydon which takes you straight into central London in less than 20 minutes (direct into London Bridge, Victoria and St Pancreas). For even more options you can walk to East Croydon station where there is also a tram and lots of buses are also nearby.
