Property Summary

***Vendor comments*** "We moved here about 5-6 years ago in search of our first home as a young couple looking for a great commute into London but also a quick drive to the M25 and beyond.

The previous owner lived in and loved this house for 14 years, and we have loved it as well but sadly are needing to move as our family has doubled in size. We have also changed jobs so we now both work from home and need a bit more space as we no longer need to travel into central London as often as we used to".

We have also changed jobs so we now both work from home and need a bit more space as we no longer need to travel into central London as often as we used to.

When we first bought Davidson Road, we had the interior professionally redecorated to a scandi neutral style and the bathroom and kitchen remodelled. We changed almost everything in the bathroom, adding; sage green cabinets, a rainfall shower over the bath and chic floor tiles. We kept the original unique wood-panelled ceiling and fireplace shape for the character in the kitchen, but installed the ventilator and widened the back door to allow more light in. The kitchen cabinets match the bathroom and have space for both a washing machine and slimline dishwasher. We also added genuine white wood flooring. We kept all the original Victorian iron fireplaces but painted them with metallic paint to make them look neat and tidy. We also added fashionable plantation shutters in the living room and the whole house is double glazed.

Davidson Road is outside the 410 bus route which is super fast to both East Croydon and connects to the stunning Crystal Palace Park. The nearest tram station is Blackhorse Lane which can take you to places like the Ikea or Beckenham in each direction. For local playgrounds/parks within walking distance, you have the small but perfect for dogs and children Addiscombe Railway. Ashburton Park and South Norwood Rec have children's playgrounds and are within driving distance with plenty of brilliant greenspaces with a variety of landscapes. We go to South Norwood Country Park, Lloyd Park and Addington Hills regularly both running, on bike and in the car, each being a 5-10 mins drive away. The nearest small shops are the Londis on the same road, and the Coop at the end of the road and there are a few restaurants including a fab BYOB Vietnamese with family cooking.

In terms of schools, there are three primary schools within walking distance, with Robert Fitzroy being the closest. The street is full of young families and we have been blessed with brilliant, considerate and friendly neighbours on both sides. I hope someone finds this the perfect home for their lifestyle".
